Copenhagen Solutions Lab
As the population grows, so do the challenges of keeping Copenhagen both wonderful and clean, and making it the best possible setting for day-to-day life. The ‘smart city’ concept is one way of achieving this, with data-driven solutions designed to develop Copenhagen and meet the challenges faced by any growing urban conurbation, e.g. sensors indicating vacant parking spaces, or bins that announce when they need emptied.
Copenhagen Solutions Lab plays a key role in this smart city work. It maintains a constant dialogue with companies and knowledge producers, and has its finger on the pulse when it comes to the challenges the city faces from day to day. Copenhagen Solutions Lab uses the city as a framework for systematic and targeted experiments in the urban labs 'Street Lab', 'UNDERBROEN' and 'Innovatorium', developing, testing and demonstrating solutions that will benefit the city, Greater Copenhagen and the whole of Denmark.
